Several functions are brought together in an exciting and innovative way in the MS-400 – the traditional high quality sound amplification that customers have come to expect from Audio Enhancement is seamlessly integrated with the capacity for two-way communication and SAFE System functionality.
Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) communication is part of the core functionality for the MS-400. SIP communication is the standard that defines how one phone speaks to another. Since the MS-400 is SIP communication capable and can be connected to the school network, the amplifier can be interfaced with the school’s Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) system. This means that by dialing the phone number for that MS-400, the voice of the caller will be projected out of the Audio Enhancement speakers into the classroom, and the teacher in that room can respond by speaking into the teacher microphone worn around the neck.
The MS-400 offers the following benefits:
- Paging and bells notifications can be heard through the amplifier
- In emergency situations, the MS-400 can run on power from the emergency generator, using this same power to run two of the speakers in a room. This allows building-wide communication of important information and direction to remain available in crucial times.
- SIP communication
